Leena Ray, MD

Dr. Leena Ray received her Bachelor of Science in molecular biology at Yale College.  She then attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she received her medical degree with honors for research in Immunology.  Dr. Ray was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, and also graduated with the American Medical Women's Association Award.  She completed her internal medicine residency at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, where she was recognized by the Harvard Medical School Class of 2003 for being an outstanding resident teacher and mentor.  Dr. Ray completed training in nephrology at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, and at the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF) Medical Center.

Dr. Ray joined Diablo Nephrology in 2004.  She serves as Medical Director of FKC Pleasant Hill Dialysis Unit.  She is dedicated to patient care, and also enjoys her teaching role at the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Ray is board certified in nephrology and internal medicine.  She is a member of the American Society of Nephrology.  

Dr. Ray practices in our Walnut Creek and Concord offices.
